New art keeps getting on my wishlist. I already have too many. Wayyyy too many. Right now, only my absolute favourites have ended up on the walls. Yet more keeps getting on the wishlist.

Enter watercolourist Michelle Armas. Hailing from Atlanta, Michelle paints in studio in Georgia. She also blogs about her journey remodeling her 100 year old bungalow she shares with her husband and two dogs.

Some may see a jumble mess of colours. But I see a kaleidoscope of colours that scream happy.

While they look simple enough, I know a lot of technique and thought goes into creating these paintings. My 8 year old girl piped up whilst I was browsing Michelle’s site with a blithe, “Mum, I could do that!” It’s just random colours, isn’t it?

The Woman behind the Blog

Welcome to my blog! It’s such a pleasure having you here.

What are you inspired by? I am inspired by beautiful and bright interiors, fabric, furniture, pinks, yellows, greens, chairs, china, trees, chocolate, peonies, hydrangeas, cherry blossoms, roses and rhubarb with cream.

Friends and family call me drey (pronounced 'dree'... short for Audrey) and I can often be found zipping through op-shops and vintage stores in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.
