Jamie Oliver’s Tray Baked Meringue

My version of Jamie Oliver's tray baked meringue

Was my own version of Jamie Oliver’s “Tray-baked meringue with pears, cream, toasted hazelnuts and chocolate sauce” as seen on TV a few weeks ago. We recorded it and now I’m on a mission to make this perfect. It’s close. Almost there.

(We don’t like poached fruit… so chose firm, succulent strawberries. Might try this with some persimmon slices next.)

(Forgot the slightly whipped cream.)

Was gone in about 30 mins. By just three people. (The little one was safely asleep!)

What did you do last weekend?

I love Jamie Oliver. Would this be the same thing as Pavlova? I tried making that after seeing Nigella make it and I’m just not sure if it turned out the way it was suppose to? It’s not a common dessert over here (mine was a little gooey and eggy on the inside?). Would love Jamie’s recipe! This looks so good!

It’s from his book Jamie at Home. Of course, his looks way better and it’s got the actual ingredients like poached pears and almonds etc… The chocolate was also melted with the liquer the pears were poached in…Mine has well… the meringue and chocolate hahahahaIt’s kinda like Pavlova but doesn’t need to be as big a mountain as it… Personally I don’t much like the Pav… but this meringue… is an addiction :)Here’s the recipeVideo link here.
