I want this for Summer 2008/2009

Sofa swing from the Crabtree & Evelyn catalogue

Inspiration comes from everywhere, doesn’t it?

I was so caught by this photo in one of the small Crabtree & Evelyn catalogues.

Sofa swing, via Crabtree & Evelyn catalogues, #PR10271.

Totally impractical (nice expensive piece of furniture, cloth upholstery, cushions, great indoor wood, utterly too-elegant for the garden)… and we don’t have a tree like that in our little courtyards….

But oh what a dream. Now THIS is my kinda swing!

Oh God I love this…I would want a slightly more modern/contemporary design for my tree-hanging sofa swing…but this is TOO awesome!

There is an outdoor music festival here every summer and each year the art installations get better… last year they dubbed one of the stages “the Living Room and surrounded the perimeter with swinging sofas for people to sit on. Loved it.When I have my garden I will build a sofa swing and invite you for tea.:)
