Dresses on walls

I don’t like dust… or dusting, but have always loved the romance of a frilly, beautiful dress hanging on some wall to create such a feminine touch.

Permanently hanging a dress would surprise no one in my family. I tend to veer towards the quirky.

Two of Hannah’s one-year-old frocks were displayed on her mulled-wine-coloured walls, but of course, that’s gone now, packed away.

Despite the dust and the impracticality of hanging and displaying a favourite or particularly eye catching dress, it makes for a great statement.

Aren’t you inspired? I am! Even though we can’t afford much now, or will have the room… I can’t help but go back to yearn for a few of my favourites from Etsy; like sellers Calendar Girl, TimelessVixenVintage and vintage & silk.

The Woman behind the Blog

Welcome to my blog! It’s such a pleasure having you here.

What are you inspired by? I am inspired by beautiful and bright interiors, fabric, furniture, pinks, yellows, greens, chairs, china, trees, chocolate, peonies, hydrangeas, cherry blossoms, roses and rhubarb with cream.

Friends and family call me drey (pronounced 'dree'... short for Audrey) and I can often be found zipping through op-shops and vintage stores in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.
