… I scored this! A perfectly sound Chiavari Chair!

My Roadside Chiavari Chair

One of my favourite, absolutely favourite things in the whole wide world is stumbling across something *beautiful at an op shop (thrift store) or on the side of the road.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when this perfectly gorgeous single Chiavari chair (pity there weren’t 5 others!) was left out on the “take me if you like me” strip in front of someone’s house. It was on the way to drop off our American trainer teacher to her friend’s host’s home. So not our normal route.

All the more reason to be dancing on the side of the road!

The seat was watermarked, but that didn’t matter to me one bit because it was going to get a recover. The seat was just velcro-ed on to the frame, ANOTHER YAY. Easy peasy to remove and recover!

The Chiavari chair as I found it.

Things for free rarely get better than that, but the gold paint job on the chair was in perfect nick! In antique gold, just like these.

A few quick punches of my staple gun and in my fun fabric. Another installation in what I have planned for my office space.

So happy.
